Language classes meet for 4 hours per day from Monday through Friday for a total of 80 hours and 5 recommended credits per 4-week session. \u00a0Students can also opt to take a Conversation Practice course at their level. Intermediate, Advanced and Superior level students can opt to take the Conversation Practice course or a subject course (taught in Spanish) from the Spanish Language and Culture Program. We advise you to gain pre-approval for several different levels of Spanish in order to ensure that you will receive credit for the level that you test into after the placement test in Granada.<\/p>\n<p><b>Grades<\/b> No AIFS Abroad participant is permitted to take a course without receiving a grade. In the second part, an approach will be made to Fantastic Literature and the so-called Magical Realism in Spanish and Latin American narrative from the eighteenth century to the present. Throughout the course, the different historical, social and cultural contexts that at each moment determined the evolution of this literature within the Spanish and Latin American traditions will be investigated, investigating the various critical and theoretical contributions and the formal and stylistic characteristics of these narrative modalities through the analysis of the most representative texts. The bases of this course are made up of three different areas: main companies in Spain and Latin America, the basics of the Spanish and Latin American economy and the lexicon.
