\u00a0<\/strong>At AIFS Abroad, we support all participants in your study\/intern abroad journey. We invite everyone to engage with the cultures around you while at home and abroad. Everyone is complex, and the uniqueness of who you are is important when deciding on a program and location. Exploring who you are and learning about the uniqueness of others is an important part of this journey. Thus, we invite you to take the time to learn about the cultures you embody and the cultures of others on your program as well as the cultures that are a part of your host country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We encourage you to use the information in our Health and Safety section as you review your options to select the program and location that best fits your interests and needs. It is a great resource to learn more about yourself and others. We also encourage you to revisit these resources throughout your study\/ intern abroad journey. Please also visit your university\u2019s study abroad website and office, as they might have additional information and resources related to cultural engagement while studying abroad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While abroad, if you experience challenges related to cultural adjustments and you may want to talk to someone, we encourage you to connect with your Program Director or Location Coordinator in-country. They will be able to provide guidance and support to you as well as point you toward resources in your host country to assist with your experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
